Donna J. Gordon Copsey

Donna J. (Gordon) Copsey, 86 of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015 at Greenleaf Living Center.

She was born March 28, 1929 in Nappanee to Donald and Lillian (Wells) Snyder. She married Arnold D. Gordon, who preceded her in death in 1982. She then married Ray E. Copsey on Feb. 5, 2000. He survives with her daughter, Melissa Crothers of Munster, IN; 2 step-sons, Scott Copsey of Indianapolis and Bryan (Beckie) Copsey of Elkhart; 3 step-daughters, Kelli (Derrick) Hendricks of Cassopolis, MI, Heidi Copsey of Goshen and Missi (Vic) Chael of Elmhurst, IL; 3 grandchildren, Gerald Griffin, Ayrica Gordon and Shane Gordon; 1 great-grandson and 8 step-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Phil (Nancy) Snyder of Rotonda West, FL, John (Carol) Snyder of Veedersburg, IN and Craig (Debby) Snyder of Arcadia, FL. She was preceded in death by a daughter Monica Gordon-Wimberley.

Donna retired as office manager for Harter Floor Care in Elkhart. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and loved spending time with her family and friends, gardening and golfing. She enjoyed her Friday Night Social Group and her Bridge Club.

Visitation for Donna will be from 2-4 pm Sunday, Oct. 4th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home and for an hour prior to the 11 am service on Monday, Oct. 5th at the funeral home. Rev. Tim Burchill will officiate. Interment will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.
