Donna Wood

Donna J. Wood, 80 of Bristol, passed away Monday May 27, 2013 at her home.

She was born January 7, 1933 in Middlebury to William C. and Opal (Kalb) Miller. She married Jack E. Wood on May 16, 1954. He survives along with 3 daughters, Cathy Mark and Cindy Nicely both of Elkhart, and Pam Coy of Bristol; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a sister, Pat (Rick) Connelly of Franklin, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Bill and Al Miller.

Donna graduated from Bristol High School and had worked as a bookkeeper for Coachmen for many years and retired as a bookkeeper from Jaxon Cleaners. She was a member of Bristol United Methodist Church and sang in the choir for 26 years. Donna and Jack travelled to Europe in 1989 performing with the church choir. She enjoyed golfing, bowling and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Bristol United Methodist Church and a half hour prior to the service at 10:30 am Friday also at the church. Pastor Fred Stayton will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery, Bristol.
