Doris M. Feiler

Doris M. Feiler, 88 of Goshen, IN, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 4, 2024 at Elkhart General Hospital, with her family by her side. Doris was born on March 25, 1936 in Warsaw, IN, to Roy and Irene Ringgenberg. She married Roger B. Feiler on May 20, 1962 in Warsaw, IN.

Doris graduated from Warsaw High School and went on to further her education at Tulsa Bible College in Tulsa, OK. Doris grew up on a farm, she enjoyed riding on tractors and taking care of the farm animals. In her youth she enjoyed playing softball. Most of all she loved being a wife to her husband and a mother to her children. She was heavily engaged as a Pastor's wife at Life Tabernacle Church in Elkhart, IN for 35 years. She loved to share the word of the Lord with friends and family, especially praying with and for people. She enjoyed entertaining and hosting ministers and their families in their home. She had a wonderful talent for playing the accordion, piano and singing. Doris will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Doris is survived by her sons, Roger A. (Renee) Feiler of Alexandria, MN., and Rodney (Yalonda) Feiler of Noblesville, IN; grandchildren, Ross (Katie) Feiler, Roederick (Sierra) Feiler, Ryan Feiler, Rochelle Feiler, and Troy Jaxon "T.J." (Brianna) Feiler; great-grandchildren Robert, Isaac, Gwynn, Wyatt, Yvonne, Levi and Roman and her sister-in-law Beverly Hufman of Warsaw, IN. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband and half brother Don Huffman.

Visitation will be from 3-6 pm on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Elkhart Life, 1135 Middlebury Street, Elkhart, IN 46516, where funeral services will follow at 6pm. Pastor Steve Spite will officiate. Doris will be laid to rest next to her husband, Pastor Roger B. Feiler at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw, IN, this will be a private burial. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting Doris' family.
