Doris J. Forrest

Doris J. Forrest, 84 of Elkhart, passed away February 10, 2013 at Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born April 29, 1928 in Elkhart to George and Mary Kiefer and married Charles W. Forrest on August 25, 1946 in Elkhart. He died on August 12, 2009. Surviving are 2 daughters, Peggy (Don) Presser of Bristol and Cathy (Bill) Johnson of West Chester, OH; 3 granddaughters, Elizabeth, Jenna and Lauren Johnson and 1 sister, Phyllis Wysong of Elkhart. She was preceded in death by a brother, David Kiefer and a sister, Nancy Kiefer.

Doris retired after 24 years from Miles Laboratories as a distribution manager. She enjoyed family gatherings.

Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Wednesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart and an hour prior to the 12 pm service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
