Doris E. Lang

Doris E. Lang, 81 of Elkhart, IN. passed away March 12, 2014 at Greenleaf Health Campus in Elkhart. She was born on June 10, 1932 in Vistula, IN. to Harry S. and Inez M. (Lee) Eby. Survivors include a son, Barry (Chris) Lang of Bristol, a daughter, Janice (Jim) Maxey of Granger, four grandchildren, Wesley, Noah, Bailey and Cameron and a sister, Helen (Jack) Alexander of Whitehall, Michigan.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 am Wednesday at Vistula Christian Church. Chaplain John Schrock of Harbor Light Hospice will officiate. Burial will follow at Vistula Cemetery.

Mrs. Lang started her career as a registered nurse serving in California and Hawaii. In the 1970’s, she returned to the Bristol area and became general manager of Eby Pines. She was a member of Vistula Christian Church and the Kiwanis Club in Middlebury. She loved her plants, flowers, bird watching and snowmobiling. She was a graduate of Bristol High School and the Holy Cross School of Nursing.
