Doris E. Yacuk

Doris E. Yacuk,84 of Breman, Indiana died August 6, 2008 @ 4:45 P.M. at Eastlake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.She was born on May 23, 1924 at the Alamo, New Mexico to Charles and Bennie Brown.She married Nick Yacuk on January 1, 1944.He preceded her in death on March 9, 1999.

Survivors include two daughters; Dawn (Jeff) Kessler of Elkhart, Indiana and Debra (Charles) Nick of Breman, Indiana, two sons; Chuck (Kathy) Yacuk of Kouts, Indiana and Ron (Pam) Yacuk of Texas; eight grandsons and seven great grandchildren.A brother, Hector Brown and two sisters, Leota Frizell and Ruby Brown preceded her in death.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service which will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Stemm Lawson Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Boulevard, Elkhart.Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery, Elkhart.

Mrs. Yacuk retired from the State of Indiana Workforce One Division, Elkhart.She was a member of the Starlight Chapter # 44 Order of the Eastern Star; Elks Club and attended First Presbyterian Church.
Her many interest included Painting, Basketry, Traveling, entertaining at the farm and going to her grandchildren's sporting events.
