Dorothy Irene Clark

Dorothy Irene Clark, 98 of Bristol, IN went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 10, 2025. Dorothy was born on November 26, 1926 in McMinnville, TN to Lloyd and Reatha Grissom. She married Harold B. Clark on October 3, 1951, he preceded her in death on May 4, 1976.

Dorothy graduated from Dibrell High School in Tennessee, she advanced her education years later by taking a computer class at IVY Tech. She was member of Goshen Church of Christ. Dorothy was quite a basketball player in her younger years, she also enjoyed bowling and golfing. She worked over 42 years in production at Miles Laboratory and over 8 years at the flea market in Shipshewana. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Bristol. Dorothy volunteered at Elkhart General Hospital in the cafeteria and various other places at the hospital. Dorothy loved to travel and often said “she went everywhere she wanted to.” Among some of her favorite trips were to Alaska and to the Holy Lands. Most of all Dorothy loved to spend time with her family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Carol Jean (Don) Harper of Goshen, IN, Brenda Sue (her late husband, Dave) Moses of Bristol, IN and Debi Ann (Kent) Stichter of New Paris, IN; grandchildren Jason (Tammy) Harper, Becki (Tim) Boehlke, Teresa (Ryan) French, Michelle Colglazier, Michael (Katie) Moses, Cassandra Stichter, Erica Stichter, Andrew (Nikki) Stichter, Nathan Stichter and Alyson (Jason) Frank; 15 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren and her brother-in-law Donny Hill. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Reatha Grissom, her husband Harold, siblings Christine (Paul) Thomas, Nelson (Maxine) Grissom, Paul (Stella) Grissom, John (Jeanette) Grissom and Dema Sue (Bob) Lee, Betty Ann Hill and her son-in-law David Moses.

Visitation will be held from 11am -1 pm on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46514 where funeral services will be held at 1pm. Brad Price Minister at Goshen Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery where Dorothy will be laid to rest next to her husband.
