Duane E. Cook

Duane E. Cook, 61 of Goshen, passed away on Monday, Sept. 24, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

He was born January 10, 1957 in Elkhart to Bert R. and Martha E. (Wagner) Cook. Surviving are 2 sisters, Carolee J. (Douglas) Rhude of Elkhart, Betty E. (Patrick) McDowell of Goshen, sister-in-law, Rachel Cook Korody of Granger, 2 nieces, 2 nephews and 3 great-nieces and 5 great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Weldon Cook.

Duane graduated from Concord High School and earned his B.S. degree from Purdue University. He was a realtor for ReMax Excellence and had previously worked for the American Red Cross and Heart City Health Center. Duane played competition volleyball and enjoyed cards, movie night with friends and family get-togethers.

Visitation for Duane will be from 5-8 pm Thursday, Sept. 27th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home. Visitation will also be from 9 am to 10 am Friday, Sept. 28th where funeral services will be held at 10 am also at the funeral home. Pastor David Boys will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Street Cemetery at a later date.
