Earl W. Swinehart, 80 of Goshen, passed away Monday evening, Dec. 18, 2017 at his home. He was born May 8, 1937 in Elkhart to Raymond B. and Esther M. (Priser) Swinehart. He married Bonnie L. Allen on June 22, 1957 in Elkhart. Surviving are 3 sons, Martin (Mary) Swinehart of Valparaiso, Timothy (Lynn) Swinehart of Elkhart, and Jeffrey (Kathy) Swinehart of Hawthorn Woods, IL and a daughter, Lori (Bradley) Johnson of South Bend; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a brother, Lowell (Diane) Swinehart of Bristol and a sister, Nancy (Donald) Surbey of Willoughby Hills, OH. He was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie on Feb. 21, 2007 and a sister, Phyllis Lorenz.

Earl attended Concord High School and served in the U. S. Air Force. He retired as a welder from Weber Manufacturing and previously worked for Bock Products. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and the D.A.V. #19. He also enjoyed golfing.

Friends may visit with the family from 5-7 pm Thursday, Dec. 21st at Grace Lutheran Church, Elkhart. Visitation will also be from 10 am to 11 am Friday, Dec. 22nd, where the funeral service will begin at 11 am also at the church. Pastor Dan Forehand will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to United Cancer Services of Elkhart County or the Concord High School Music Dept.
