Edith L. "Lucy" Fedder

Edith L. “Lucy” Fedder, 91, of Elkhart, died at 1:15 am, July 12, 2010 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born to Vern and Harriet Belle (Henderson) Anders in Elkhart on April 7, 1919. She married Charles M. “Mike” Fedder on July 22, 1939 in Elkhart. He died October 1, 1998.

She is survived by 2 daughters Sandra (William) Bussard of Goshen and Lana (Jim) Conn of Elkhart; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She worked at CTS as an assembler, White Hall Lab as a receptionist, and later was a clerk at JC Penney’s. She was a 60-year member of Grace Lutheran Church, a member of the Altar Guild, Tri F Class, Miriam Circle, church prayer chain and had been a Sunday School teacher. She was a member of the Saturday Nite Pinochle Club, OGL Club, Hobby Dobbers Artists for 49 years, and was an artist, poet and writer, most recently contributing to the Elkhart Truth.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at 2:00 pm Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church, Elkhart. Rev. Tim Diemer will officiate. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart is handling arrangements.

Memorials may be given to the charity of ones choice.
