Edith A. Peck

Edith Alleyne Peck, age 95 of Elkhart passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Hubbard Hill Estates. Edith was born on March 30, 1926 in Macomb, IL., to John Louis and Francelia Sweeney. She married Robert W. Peck on June 27, 1948. They enjoyed 63 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2011.

Edith was a registered nurse. She was a member at McCoy Memorial Baptist Church where she served faithfully in many capacities. She enjoyed helping others. She was actively involved for years in the YMCA exercise class. She truly loved spending time with her family and friends.

Edith is survived by her children Nancy Peck of Elkhart and Jeffrey (Nancy) Peck of Winona Lake, IN; grandchildren Elisabeth (Andy) Rutten, Emily (Jeff) Kish and David (Rebecca) Peck; and great-grandchildren Joey, Matthew, Ellie, Luke, Jake, Zoe, Audrey and Caleb. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert and her sisters Juanita Fox and Louise Wynes.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at McCoy Memorial Baptist Church, 134 St. Clair Ave., Elkhart, IN 46516 with visitation one hour before services at the church. Burial will at 11am on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart. Memorial donations may be made to McCoy Memorial Baptist Church.
