Edmond H. Harris

Edmond H. Harris, 92, of Elkhart, passed away February 26, 2013 at Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born May 22, 1920 in New Castle, Texas to Columbus W. and Lena O. (Satterwhite) Harris. He married Betty Maxine Harris on June 11, 1942 in St. Louis. Surviving are 3 daughters, Linda (Michael) Pittman of Madison, IN, Rosa (Adam) Bossnack of Elkhart and Vivian (Bruce) Ledbetter of Cincinnati, OH; 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Maxine on January 18, 2009, 2 brothers, Columbus J. Harris and Raymond M. Harris and a sister, Lena Green.

Edmond served in the U.S. Army-Air Corps in World War II and worked for Federal Paperboard for 34 years.

Family and friends may call an hour prior to the 10 am Memorial Service on Wednesday May 22, 2013 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart. Pastor Ron Spyker will officiate. Military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Air Force and the D.A.V. #19. Burial has taken place at Vistula Cemetery, Vistula, Indiana.
