Edmundo E. Zarria

Edmundo E. Zarria, 91 of Hubbard Hill Estates, Elkhart died September 19, 2009 at 12:30 A.M. at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born August 18, 1918 in Quito, Ecuador to Jose Maria and Julia (Chavez) Zarria.

Survivors include a son, Reuben and a daughter, Gin, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, three sisters; Nimia Torres, Eumelia Zarria both of Quito, Ecuador, Alvina Arregui of Indianapolis, Indiana and a brother, Fausto Zarria of Corpus Christi, Texas. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth.

Friends may call three hours prior to the funeral service which will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday at Stemm Lawson Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Boulevard, Elkhart, Indiana with Pastor Gordon Bacon officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.

Mr. Zarria was an engineer with HCJB radio station in Ecuador. He worked in Elkhart for International Radio and Electronics Corporation and C.G. Conn. He was a long time technical assistant to the HCJB Technology Center in Elkhart. He loved visiting and corresponding with friends around the world.
