Edward E. Blyly, 79, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday Aug. 7 at Cardinal Nursing and Rehabilitation, South Bend.
Edward was born Sep. 22, 1934 in Elkhart to Robert W. and Gladys E. (Osborn) Blyly. On July 29, 1969 in Union, MI he married Janet S. Hook Neidballa who survives along with 4 daughters: Angel Cribb of Wilmington, NC, Roberta Cox of Elkhart, Nancy Neidballa of Farmington, MO, Jean Marshall of Elkhart and 2 sons: Ed (Peggy) Neidballa of New Orleans, LA and Robert (Terri) Blyly of Monterey, TN; 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 3 brothers: Norman (Carolyn) Blyly of Schoolcraft, MI, Gerald (Julie) Blyly of Goshen, Daniel (Nadga) Blake of Bradenton, FL and a sister-in-law Sharon Blyly of Osceola, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ronald.

Edward graduated from Bristol High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of First Baptist Church for 32 years where he was a Sunday School teacher, bus captain and greeter and a member of Grace Bible Church for 13 years. He retired as a plumber and pipefitter from South Bend Local 172 after 31 years. He was member of United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters South Bend Local 172.

Ed and Janet wintered in Mission, TX for 16 years. Ed was a devoted Godly husband, wonderful father and loving grandfather. He loved to fish.

Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 14th from 4-8 pm at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home and an hour prior to the 11 am service on Friday, Aug. 15th at Grace Bible Church. Pastor Mike Fisher will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart where military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Marine Corps and DAV# 19.

The family would like to thank Cardinal Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, South Bend for their caring and kindness.
