Eileen M. Chilcote

Eileen M. Chilcote, 94 of Elkhart, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Eastlake Terrace.

She was born, July 1, 1920 in Leesburg to George and Maude (Cable) Tom. She married Jay N. Chilcote on July 27, 1947 in Leesburg. He died on Aug. 16, 1983. Surviving are a daughter, Valerie (Jay) Corson of Elkhart; 2 granddaughters, Emily E. Teeter and Eileen Corson. She was preceded in death by a sister, Blanche Sutton and a brother, Wayne Tom.

Eileen had worked for Biltmore Studios and Montgomery Ward and retired as a clerk from Judd Drug Stores. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, where she had been active in her younger years. She was a former member of Delta Theta Chi and the Four Arts Club.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, March 25th at Prairie Street Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Humane Society of Elkhart County or AseraCare Hospice.
