Eleanor M. Linton

Eleanor M. Linton, 81 of Bristol, passed away on Friday, Aug. 25, 2017 at Goshen Hospital.

She was born July 22, 1936 in Elkhart to Joseph and Ruth (Coleman) Skatvold. She married Don G. Linton on Dec. 31, 1957 in Elkhart. She is survived by her husband, Don of Bristol, 3 daughters, Robin (Johnie) Fizer, and Debra (Michael) Brick both of Elkhart, and Dawn (Gary) Pontius of Dowagiac, MI; 1 son, T-Joe Linton of Ft. Myers Beach, FL; 10 grandchildren, Tammy Scherer, Jonathan Fizer, Donda Ralston, Melissa, Erin and Jennifer Brick, Stephanie Bigler, Megan Peterkin, Brock Linton and Justin Pontius; 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and her beloved dog, Angel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Skatvold and Ruth Congdon and a granddaughter, Ashley.

Eleanor graduated from Elkhart High School and was a homemaker and the best mom ever. She was a member of River Oaks Community Church.

The family will receive friends from 4–5 pm on Saturday, Sept. 2nd at River Oaks Community Church where a memorial service will begin at 5 pm. Pastor Dustin Eby will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
