Eleanore J. Hartman

Eleanore J. Hartman, 87, of Elkhart, died at 4:20 am, Sunday, May 10, 2009 at the LuAnn Nursing Home, Nappanee.

She was born January 17, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio to Finley and Davina (Beveridge) Goodwin and married Edward H. Hartman on April 4, 1941 in Cleveland. He died on December 25, 1996. Surviving are 3 daughters, Sandy (Richard) Blake of Granger, IN, Dianne Olinghouse of Goshen, IN and Debbie (Terry) Yeager of Bristol, IN; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A sister, Virginia Zilles preceded in death.

Mrs. Hartman was a homemaker and a seamstress at Imperial Fabrics for 6 years. She enjoyed being with her family.

Friends may call from 4-7 pm Tuesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd. Elkhart. The funeral service will be held at 10 am Wednesday at the funeral home. Reverend Larry W. Kurtz of Faith United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery.
