Elizabeth Ann Gerstbauer, 85, of Elkhart passed away on February 14, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend surrounded by her family. Beth was born on September 30, 1934 in Science Hill, KY to Eventis and Georgia Ann Wilson. She married the love of her life, Timothy Gerstbauer on December 3, 1967 in Hopkinsville, KY.
Beth graduated with a teaching degree from Washington University in St. Louis, but her true love was working along side her husband at Flexible Concepts in Elkhart. Beth has been an inspirational leader as President at Flexible Concepts Incorporated where she will be sadly missed. She enjoyed spending time with her family out on the boat and just soaking up the sun.
Beth leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, of 53 years Timothy; their children Mark Johnson of Manistee, MI., Karen Johnson of Elkhart, Keli Andrea of Fortville, IN, Fabian (Mimi) Gerstbauer of St. Peter, MN. and Amy (Mark) Brown of Bristol; grandchildren, Brandon Johnson, Nicole (Cormac) Connolly, Keaton Johnson, Crystal (Pancho) Garza, Angela Hawkins, Ashley (Joey) Kilburn, Lindsay Hawkins, Ryan Andrea, Fabian “Ian” Gerstbauer, Roan Gerstbauer, Brennan Gerstbauer, Evan Brown and Blake Brown; great grandchildren, Cillian, Pancho, Cassandra, Parker, Dominic, Anna, Lily, Leland, Lysa, Sailor and Gavin and her great-great grandson Highland. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Marjorie (Ralph) Tarter.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 4pm to 7 pm at Stemm-Lawson Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514. Funeral services will at 11am on Thursday, February 20th at the funeral home with visitation one hour before services. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger.
