Ella Jean Mullins

Ella Jean Mullins, 88, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday December 10, 2022 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born October 8, 1934 in Mammoth, West Virginia to William Anderson and Ernestine “Ernie” Esther Duff.  She married the love of her life Hansel Lee “Jack” Mullins on October 8,1952 in Gauley Bridge, West Virginia, he preceded her in death on January 20, 1998.

Ella worked as the customer service desk manager at K-Mart for over 40 years from 1968-2008. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Elkhart, IN. She loved to spend time with her family and friends.

Ella Jean is survived by her son, Richard Lee (Jo Anna Price) Mullins of Elkhart, IN; her daughter Terry Lynn ( Charles L.) McCoy of Cookeville, TN ; grandchildren Elizabeth (Tony) Throneberry and Jerry  (Megan) Davis; 2 step-great-grandchildren,  Aiden and Elizabeth, great-grandchildren, twins Erica Downer and Jasmine Downer and her sister-in-law Twylla Duff of Elkhart, IN. Ella was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her siblings Chester Duff, Rosie Lee Perkins, Leonard Ray Duff and Ruby Mae Hackworth.

Visitation for Ella will be from 10 am -1 pm on Wednesday December 14, 2022 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where services will be at 1 pm. Pastor Tim Wesco will officiate. Burial will be private at Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart.
