Eunice Lacefield, 89, of Osceola, died at 8:20 am Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Elkhart Hospice House.
She was born April 19, 1921 in Butler Co. Kentucky to Bethel and Tular (Lee) Minton and married Marion C. Lacefield in Springfield, Tenn., on Jan. 23, 1941. He died March 26, 1994. Surviving are 2 sons, Rev. Kenneth (Georgia) Lacefield and David (Ginny) Lacefield both of Elkhart; 2 daughters, Janice Pritchard of Elkhart and Judy Wilson of Osceola; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Douglas Lacefield, a great-grandson, Robert Shupe, 2 brothers, Stanley and William Minton and a sister, Marie Lytle.
Mrs. Lacefield retired from Imperial Fabrics and was a member of Riverview General Baptist Church. She loved gardening, flowers and birds.
Family and friends may call an hour prior to the 1 pm funeral service on Monday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, Elkhart. Rev. Bob Wood will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.
