On Easter Sunday God called home his good and faithful servant, Eunice Marie Most. She was in her 90th year. Eunice was born in Richmond, Virginia on February 1, 1929. She met William Most in Virginia while he was in the Navy. They married on June 14, 1947 and moved to Michigan. William preceded her in death on November 16, 1992.
Eunice worked for Forest Hills School District in Grand Rapids, Michigan for 28 years. She loved “her” children and they loved her. Her Christmas tree was always covered with decorations, gifts and cards from “her” children. She also helped her husband, William, establish Forgotten Man Ministries, Inc., an interdenominational prison ministry that is still delivering God’s word to prisoners across the state of Michigan. She would spend hours grading bible lessons and providing feedback to the inmates enrolled in bible courses.
She was a consummate mother and loyal friend who always offered a listening ear. She was a prayer warrior and you could take any prayer request to her and know that she was praying for you, your loved ones or your situation. She had a quiet strength. She was a petite woman, who loved cooking, and her ability to make something delicious out of nothing was second to none and everyone was always welcome to her delicious meals. She loved gardening and reading, especially the Bible and The Daily Bread. She always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family.
She is survived by her four children Maria Cox, Elkhart, IN; Thomas Most, Fort Myers, Fl; Constance Vander Wall (Anthony), North Bay, ON, Canada; and Frank Most (Kathy), Grand Rapids, Michigan, eight grandchildren (including a doctor, teachers, nurse) and ten great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, Indiana. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held immediately after visitation at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 7, 2018. Later in the afternoon of Saturday, April 7, 2018 an internment service will be conducted in Grand Rapids Michigan at 3 pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Our Daily Bread Ministries, 3000 Kraft Avenue SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512.
