Evelyn Stover Jackman

Evelyn M. Stover Jackman, 85 of Elkhart, passed away February 2, 2008 at Elkhart General Hospital.

She was born July 22, 1922 to Reverend O.G. and Lillian Braddock and married Lynnville Paul Stover on January 1, 1944 in Cambria, MI. He died May 21, 1967. She then married Harry Jackman on June 1, 1974. He died December 12, 1986. Surviving are a son Ivan Stover of Elkhart, 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a sister Hazel Schmidt of Elkhart and a brother, Otto Braddock of Holland, MI. A brother, Eugene Braddock and a sister Sarah Marks preceded in death.

Mrs. Jackman was a factory worker for several companies and retired from Ramco Engineering Co. She attended the United Brethren Church.

Visitation is from 6-8 pm Wednesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart where services will be held at 1:30 pm Thursday. Reverend Ron Walters of Winding Waters Brethren Church will officiate. Burial will be at Rice Cemetery.
