Ferdinande C. Eriksen

Ferdinande C. “Ferdie” Eriksen, 88 of Bristol, passed away on May 28, 2017 at Hubbard Hill Estates.

She was born April 7, 1029 in Heidelberg, Germany to Friedrich W. and Ottilie Mathilde (Joest) Kaiser. She married Einar Eriksen on June 7, 1953 in Goshen. He died on Dec. 13, 1997. Surviving are a son Scott D. (Debbie) Eriksen of Bristol and a daughter, Deborah (Jim) Caruso of North Haven, CT; 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Renate Wolf of Heidelberg, Germany and Margot Meier of Bielefeld, Germany and 2 half-brothers, Gerhard and Dieter Kaiser both Heidelberg, Germany. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Sonja Hayne and Ursula Winkler and 2 brothers, Heinz and Willi Kaiser.

Ferdie moved to Goshen from Heidelberg in 1951. She graduated from Goshen High School in 1953 and was a homemaker and a clerk at Kline’s Dept. Store in Goshen and Judd’s Drug Store for 8 years. She was a member Clark Memorial Church.

A memorial service for Ferdie will be held at 10 am Saturday, June 3rd at Clark Memorial Church, 316 Division St., Elkhart.
