Freddie D. Lapierre

Frederick D. Lapierre, age 76, of Elkhart passed away on Wednesday July 28, 2021 at Elkhart General Hospital. Freddie was born on July 13, 1945 to Joseph and Mildred in London, Ontario Canada. He married Carol Brandau, the love of his life on October 26,1968 in Michigan.

Freddie honorably served his country in the United States Army. Sailing was his passion and he enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He had fond memories of being an Edwardsburg Ontwa police officer. His greatest love was spending time with his family and friends.

Freddie is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol, their children, Dawn Baldwin of Niles, Tod (Carrie) Lapierre of Elkhart and Terry (Deborah Frost) Lapierre of Elkhart; his grandchildren, Trent (Allysa Savick) Baldwin, Traci (Thomas) Chiddister, Tyson Baldwin, Alec (Brooke Islas Bender) Lapierre, Kaylee Lapierre, Freddie (Hailey Schneider) Lapierre, Andrew Lapierre, Alex (Lacie) Frost and Arika Galvan; 7 great-grandchildren, his sister Michelle Schnapp of Toledo, OH, his sisters-in-law, Lyn Lapierre of Edwardsburg and Orietta Lapierre of Toledo, OH. He was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Mildred Lapierre, his brothers Robert and Victor Lapierre.

A celebration of Freddies life will be held from 4-6 pm on Saturday September 11, 2021 at Boardwalk Club House, 2105 Osolo Road, Elkhart, IN 46514 Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting the Lapierre family.
