Frederick H. Estrup

Frederick Hans Estrup, 69, of Bristol, IN passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Elkhart General Hospital. Fred was born on September 27, 1953 in Hammond, IN to Walter and Ann Estrup. He married the love of his life Barbara on July 26, 1980 the United Methodist Church in Bemus Point, New York.

After High school, Fred graduated from The State University of New York at Fredonia. Fred worked as a car salesman for Lochmandy Motors for over 18 years and most recently at Worldwide Jewelry and Pawn in Elkhart. In Fred’s youth he was often found playing drums in a local band or playing disc golf, both hobbies in which he still enjoyed. He was also very intrigued with learning and studying foreign languages. Truly the love of his life was spending time with his family and his friends.

Fred is survived by his wife of 42 years, Barbie; their daughter, Sarah (Jeffrey) Amering of Rochester, NY and their son Christian (Kaleigh) Estrup of Bristol, IN; grandchildren Robert and Richard Amering, Spencer, Rory and Oskar Estrup; sisters Maryl Sellers of Punta Gorda, FL., Walda (Glen) Sylvester of Sanibel, FL and Joan (Douglas) Bloomberg of  Meridianville, AL. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ann Estrup and his brothers-in-law, Al Troyer and Maurice Sellers.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday January 14, 2023 at Trinity on Jackson Church, 2715 East Jackson Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46516 with visitation one hour before services. Pastor Karen Koelsch will officiate. He will be buried in Bemus Point Cemetery in Bemus Point, New York.
