Gay Maxine Coddens

Gay Maxine Coddens, 94, of Goshen, passed away on Jan. 21, 2018. She was born on June 25, 1923 in Middlebury, IN to Lester and Lola (Dunlap) Caton. She married Rene C. Coddens on August 30, 1952. He preceded her in death on March 2, 2004.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Chuck) Hardies; her sons: Robert (Shannon) Coddens, John (Sally) Coddens and Gene (Mary) Coddens, all of Bristol, IN. 8 Grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren also survive.

Gay was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher, and 2 brothers, Robert (who died in WWII) and Harold, and a sister, Fontaine.

She spent most of her life as a “farm wife” on the Coddens Dairy Farm. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Friends may visit with the family from 10 am to 1 pm Wednesday Jan. 24 at Zion Lutheran Church where the service will be at 1pm. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery.
