Geneva S. Adams

Geneva S. Adams, 60, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday Feb. 21, 2017 at home. She was born July 20, 1956 in South Bend to Willis F. and Mary Ellen (Lemmons) Spry. On April 7, 1973 in Woodbury, Tenn. She married Richard L. Adams, Jr. who preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 2008.

Geneva is survived by 2 sons, Richard E. (Jennifer Shaffer) Adams and James R. Adams both of Elkhart, 6 grandchildren, and 3 sisters: Mildred Konrath, Cathy Wentland and Roxy Spry; and her boyfriend, Sam Bush, of Elkhart.

She was preceded in death by a son, Steven L. Adams, and her parents.

She worked in production in area manufacturing. She was employed as a cashier at Walmart for over 14 years.

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home and for two hours prior to the 2 PM Friday, Feb. 24, 2017 funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Olive West Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Here Kitty Kitty Rescue or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
