George M. Kline

July 26, 1922 — June 28, 2018

George M. Kline, 95, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday June 28, 2018 at his home.

George was born July 26, 1922 in Noble County, IN to Haskle and Eva (Cripe) Kline. On May 31, 1953 in Walkerton, he married Helen O. Kissinger who preceded him in death on June 20, 2016.

Surviving are 2 sons: Larry (Andrea) Kline of Kendallville, IN and David Kline of Elkhart, 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his children, Greg and Michael Kline and Lois Andersen and his siblings: Marjorie Horn, Evelyn Murdock, Pearl Overholser, Max Kline, Dale Kline and Robert Kline.

George graduated from Jefferson High School in 1941 and joined the U.S. Army serving in the Pacific Theatre during WWII receiving a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a supervisor for Elkhart Rubber Works retiring after 47 years. He was a member of Little Pine Church of the Brethren and Bristol American Legion. He loved his Lord and his family and enjoyed fishing, cooking and gardening.

Visitation will be 2 to 5pm Sunday July 1st at Little Pine Church of the Brethren 57061 C.R. 19, Goshen where services will be at 11am Monday July 2 with Pastor George Bates officiating. Burial will follow in Little Pine Cemetery with full Military Honors by the U.S. Army and Goshen Honor Guard.
