Geraldine L. Smith

ELKHART- Geraldine Louise Smith was born to Julianna (McDonald) and LaMar Myers on May 9, 1944. She passed away at Kindred Rehabilitation Center on August 17, 2016.

For most of her life, Gerry resided in Elkhart County, and graduated from Elkhart High School. In 1962 she married Conrad Smith (Deceased), the father of her five children, Virginia (deceased), Susan, Jake (deceased) Charles and Naomi.
She has 7 grandchildren, Justin, Jason, Amber, Alana, Crystal, Callie and Amanda, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Gerry loved Jesus and loved people. She had a generous heart and was happy to provide transportation for friends and family who needed it.
Gerry held various jobs during her life, and earned her E.M.T. license. She also volunteered at Faith Mission, where she faithfully prepared and served their Thanksgiving meals for many years.
She was a faithful member of Belmont Mennonite Church and Belmont Neighborhood Fellowship (BNF).

Visitation will be from 4-6 pm Sunday, Aug. 21st at Belmont Mennonite Church where services will begin at 6 pm.
Memorial contributions can be made to BNF. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home is entrusted with her care.
