Gloria J. Maurer-Edwards

Gloria J. Maurer-Edwards, 62, of Elkhart, passed away Monday Apr. 27, at Elkhart Hospice House.

She was born Dec. 31, 1952 in Elkhart to Richard and Norma (Stillwell) Ravenscroft. She married James L. Maurer who preceded her in death in 2000. She then married David V. Edwards on Nov. 3, 2001. He survives with her 2 sons, Brian (Denise) Maurer of Elkhart and Jason (Jennifer) Maurer of Colorado; 2 step-daughters, Vickie (Terry) Compton and Sheila (Chad) Howard both of Elkhart; 7 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren; Sister, Judy (Pat) Taber of Elkhart, her mother, Norma Ravenscroft of Valparaiso and 8 nieces and nephews.

Gloria graduated from Elkhart High School in 1971 where she was a baton twirler. She was employed at Keystone RV for 11 years as a warranty clerk. She was a member of New Creation Fellowship and was the nursery director for 10 years.

Visitation for Gloria will be from 4-8 pm Thursday, April 30th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home where services will be held at 1 pm Friday, May 1st. Pastor David Klahr will officiate. Burial will follow at California Road Cemetery.
