Harold T. Sanders

Harold T. Sanders, 79 of Elkhart passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 at Elkhart General Hospital.

Harold was born May 20, 1938 in Trenton, GA to Homer M. and Martha A. (Gold) Sanders. He married Janet S. Scott on March 8, 1958 in Lafayette, GA. She passed away on January 25, 2001.

He is survived by his children: Patience Sanders of White Pigeon, MI, George L. Sanders of Elkhart, IN and Sonja Hirsch of Goshen, IN. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 7 brothers and a sister.

Harold was a painter for 22 years for Elkhart Community Schools. He was then a custodian at Central High School for 13 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the D.A.V. #15 in Goshen.

Friends may call Sunday, November 12 from 3-6pm at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, where a 1pm service will follow Monday, November 13 with Pastor Ron Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery.
