Helen M. Holley

Helen M. Holley, 80, of Elkhart, died Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 8:43 pm at Valley View Healthcare Center.

She was born August 6, 1929 in Early, Iowa to Frank L. and Ella (Windsor) Drey. On August 12, 1967 she married Lesley R. Holley in Elkhart. Surviving Mrs. Holley are sons Donnie (Sue) Parsons and Jeffrey Parsons of Elkhart, and Mark (Karen) Parsons of Goshen; daughters Nancy Rinke of Washington Twp., Michigan, Sharon Parson of Elkhart, and Cindy Egendoerfer of Mishawaka; stepsons Bobby Ray Holley and Tony (Wanda) Holley of Elkhart; stepdaughter Marge (Eddy) Cooper of Michigan; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 brothers Frank Drey of Arizona and Jim Drey of New Mexico; and 3 sisters Phyllis Point of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Elaine (Herb) Mills of Spirit Lake, Iowa and Jean (Allen) Spalt of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son John Michael Parsons, a stepdaughter Sylvia Carroll, 2 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and sisters Mary Lundberg and Catherine Williams.

Mrs. Holley retired from CTS after 30 years of factory work and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday. Rev. Gary Ketcham of New Testament Bible Church will officiate. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
