Herbert Gerald Wickstrom, 86, of Elkhart, passed away Monday Oct. 24, 2022 at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born December 26, 1935 in Chicago, IL.
After graduating high school, he worked in the Food and Nutrition Service for the US Government Food Stamp Program. Growing up in Chicago, he was an avid Chicago Bears, Cubs, Blackhawks and Bulls fan.
ON October 20, 1990 in Chicago, he married Donna Hanson, who survives along with children, Karl (Melissa) Abraham of Elkhart, Michael Abraham of Orlando, FL, and Richard Abraham of Union City, CA, 5 grandchildren, Eric Abraham, Alicia Abraham, Paul Abraham, Douglas (Brianna) Abraham and Allison Abraham, one great-great grandson, Elric Bowman. He was preceded in death by Jeff Abraham.
As per his wishes there will be no services at this time. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting the Wickstrom family.
