Herta Johanna Teusher

Herta J. Teusher, 98, formerly of Kilbourn Street, Elkhart, passed away July 14, 2008 at Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa.

She was born April 15, 1910 in Leipzig, Germany to Max and Mary (Pohle) Lange and married John Teusher on May 2, 1931 in Leipzig. He died January 25, 1974. Surviving are 3 daughters, Rosie Murphy of Bay City, TX, Susan (Larry) Miller of Loudon, TN, and Heidi (John) Paston of Elkhart; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. 2 brothers, Max and Walter Lange preceded in death.

Mrs. Teusher came to the United States in 1931 from Germany and was a homemaker and loved her family. She was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, September 22, 2008 at the Augustana Lutheran Church, 1133 Kilbourn Street, Elkhart. Pastor Steven Reshan will officiate.

Entombment will be at Chapel of Memories mausoleum, Rice Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Augustana Lutheran Church.
