Isabelle A. Floor

Isabelle A. “Issy” Floor, 80 of Goshen, passed away February 10, 2013 at her home.

She was born July 15, 1932 in Claypool, IN to Alfred and Iva (Perry) Nelson. She married Freddie D. Floor on July 29, 1951. He died on April 5, 2005. Surviving are 2 daughters, Christy (Edward) Ramsey of Bristol and Cheryl Wesselhoft and her fiancée Scott Hamilton of Middlebury; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and 2 brothers, Oliver “Lindy” (Sandra) Nelson of Elkhart and Paul Nelson of Columbus, IN. She was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters.

Issy graduated from Laketon High School in 1950 and retired from Sam’s Club after 11 years as a food demo lady and had previously worked for Miles Laboratories in the cafeteria and for DeBoni’s Bakery for 25 years. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening and baking. She loved being with her friends.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Tuesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart and an hour prior to the 12 pm service on Wednesday at Calvary United Methodist Church, Elkhart. Pastor Laurence Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
