Jack R. Gaskill

Jack Gaskill, 75 of Elkhart passed away July 15, 2012 at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born on August 3, 1936 in Elkhart to Lloyd and Ruth (Kirkdorfer) Gaskill. He married Barbara Simone on Sept. 1, 1956 in Elkhart.

She survives along with one daughter, Darcy Linton; one daughter-in-law, Heidi Gaskill; five grandchildren, Megan and Brock Linton, Alex, Evan and Elli Gaskill all of Elkhart a brother, Marvin (Irene) Gaskill of Bremen, IN. and his beloved dog, Toby. He was preceded in death by a son, Gregg Gaskill.

Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Thursday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home with the funeral service being held at 5:30 p.m. Pastor Marvin Gaskill, his brother, will officiate. Burial will take place Friday morning at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Elkhart.

Mr. Gaskill was in sales in the Van industry working for Dygert Seating and most recently Midway Specialty Vehicles in Elkhart. He loved to garden, work in his yard and Notre Dame. He and his wife, Barbara enjoyed traveling to many different places over the years.
