Jack D. Knoblock, 72, of Elkhart, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 4:40 pm at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born April 14, 1939 in Mishawaka to Karl and Ruth (Green) Knoblock and married Linda K. Copeland on May 20 1989 in Elkhart. She survives with a son Todd (Cheryl) Knoblock of Elkhart, a daughter, Wendi (Ron) Farr of Otsego, MI, 4 grandchildren, Chase Knoblock, Monica Hall, Kyle Farr and Katherine Farr and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard.
Jack retired in 2001 as meat manager for Krogers after 28 years. He was a member of Crossroads Community Church and loved Notre Dame and Indianapolis Colts football. He enjoyed watching his grandsons sports.
Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Wednesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, Elkhart and an hour prior to the 11 am service on Thursday at Crossroads Community Church. The pastors of Crossroads Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Little Pine Cemetery.
