Jack I. Todd, 78, of Elkhart, went home to be with the Lord Monday, November 7, 2011 at IU Health Goshen Hospital. He was born January 29, 1933 in Marion, IN to the late E. Ervin and Thelma (Nelson) Todd. He married Paula A. Harnish on March 28, 1954 in Wabash, IN.
He is survived by his wife Paula of Elkhart; 4 children: Terri (Fred) Ross of Ligonier, IN, Andy (Sara) Todd of Greenwood Village, CO, Gena Todd and Kelly Todd, both of Elkhart; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Jack worked in sales for 30 years in the RV business. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, past member of the church council and church school board, and served as a red coat at Elkhart General Hospital. He belonged to the American Legion, was a member of the IHRA, and was a 70 year old rookie in the Sportsman division. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Jack loved his 3 dogs Ebby, Whiffer and Dash.
Friends may visit the family Wednesday from 3 to 7 pm at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, Elkhart where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:30 pm. Rev. Robert Schallhorn, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in Rice Cemetery with military honors rendered by the US Air Force and DAV #19.
