Jacqueline R. Hibshman

Jacqueline R. Hibshman, 80 of Cassopolis, MI, passed away February 17, 2013 at Elkhart General Hospital.

She was born May 7, 1932 in Elkhart to Clifford and Geraldine (Southworth) McCavitt. She married Franklin C. Hibshman Sr. on October 29, 1960. Surviving are a son, Frank (Sherri Kulp) Hibshman of Elkhart and 2 daughters, Elaine (Randy) Robbins and Diane Biggs both of Cassopolis, MI and 8 grandchildren, Barry Ostrom, Jeff Hibshman, Jenny Gortney, Karla Whetstone, Nicole Cates, Laura Biggs, Perry “Treat” Harris Jr., and Kenny Nelson; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 brother Mike McCavitt of Florida and 2 sisters, Candy Cook and Betty Irelan of Middlebury; A close family friend, April Biggs of Cassopolis and her precious dog, “Ladybug”. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Franklin, a son, Steve Hibshman and 2 daughters, Cindi Whetstone and Delores Nelson.

She retired from Devan Corp. in Elkhart where she worked in production and enjoyed her grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 pm at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart where services will be held at 10 am Thursday. Burial will be at Rice Cemetery at a later date.
