James Cooper

James Edward Cooper, 64 of Cassopolis, MI, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Elkhart General Hospital.

He was born Aug. 9, 1952 in Elkhart to Calvin and Doris (Fischer) Cooper. Surviving are 2 daughters, Lindsey (Matthew) Baird of Northville, MI and Lauren (James) Canders of Pittsfield, ME; 1 son, James B. (Kimberly) Cooper of Buchanan, MI; 6 grandchildren; 4 brothers, Dennis (Linda) Cooper of Bristol, David (Kathy) Cooper of Milford, Timothy and Donald Cooper both of Goshen and 1 sister, Mary (Glen) Young of Montpelier, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Carol Cooper.

James graduated from Elkhart High School and worked as a carpenter in the RV Industry. He was an avid boater and nature lover.

Family and friends are welcome to gather from 2-4 pm on Friday, July 21st to celebrate James’ life at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart.
