James E. Garber Jr., 61 of Elkhart passed away Tuesday Mar. 14, 2017 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 12, 1955 in Elkhart to James E. and Bernice (Lee) Garber Sr.
He is survived by 3 sons, James E. (Stephanie) Garber III, Jason (Leah) Garber and Jerrid Garber all of Elkhart; 5 grandchildren, A.J., Brett, Chandler, Bryce and Jenna Garber; 4 brothers, Larry (Kelli) Garber of Grand Prairie, TX, Mike (Cindy Bryan) Garber, Tim (Tammy) Garber and Terry Garber all of Elkhart; 3 sisters, Mary Godley of Mishawaka, Pat (Ron) Lantz and Deb Schuelke both of Elkhart and his companion, Patricia House of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by his parents.
James attended Jimtown High School and enjoyed collecting grandfather clocks.
Visitation will be from 2-4 pm Thursday March 16 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home where services will begin at 4 pm. Pastor Jack Rorie of The Sanctuary of Osceola will officiate.
Memorials may be given to Great Lakes Hospice.
