Jamie Lee Milnamow

Jamie Lee Milnamow, 51, of Elkhart passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 30.

She entered this world at 2 lbs. in the arms of her father Jack on August 23, 1965 in Grand Rapids, MI.

Surviving are her children, Justin P. (JJ) Milnamow, Taylor K. Milnamow and Zachary M. Milnamow all of Elkhart; a brother, William G. Petchauer of Folsom, CA; her mother, Russelle (Rusty) Petchauer of Grand Rapids, MI.; her former husband, Tim Milnamow of Elkhart and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, John (Jack) Petchauer.

Jamie graduated from Forest Hills Northern High School in Grand Rapids and earned her B.A. degree from Central Michigan University. Jamie was a paraprofessional in Special Education at Concord High School. She was also a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. She greatly enjoyed arts and crafts, reading, gardening, and was an avid animal lover. She was passionate and involved in her children’s lives. Jamie was widely known to have a beautiful soul and always putting others before her. Many of those close to her would call her “Mom”.

We want to extend our gratitude to those who were special in her life.

The family will receive friends from 3-6 pm Friday, Aug. 4th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, where a memorial service will begin at 6 pm.
