Jane E. Pinkerton

Jane E. Pinkerton, 86 of Elkhart, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Elkhart General Hospital.

She was born June 6, 1928 in Elkhart to Edward J. and Fannie M. (Foster) Costic. She married Robert Pinkerton on Aug. 6, 1955 in Elkhart. He died on Sept. 10, 1982. Surviving are a son, Edward (Penny) Pinkerton of Cassopolis, MI and 2 daughters, Beth Shroyer of Elkhart and Debra (Dave) Fouts of Indianapolis; 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a sister, Pat Toby of Elkhart.

Jane was a retired Registered Nurse having worked for various nursing homes and private care. She was a past Regent of Women of The Moose and Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary. She served as a 1st Lt. in the U.S. Air Force as a Flight Nurse.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 1st from 5-8 pm at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home and an hour prior to services at 11 am Thursday, April 2nd at the funeral home. Pastor Greg Serafino will officiate. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery with military honors.
