Jeannette M. Gregory

Jeannette M. Gregory, 95 of Elkhart, died November 15, 2010 at her home. She was born July 23, 1915 in Daviess Co. Indiana to Charles and Jessie (Buzan) Gould and married Nathan C. Gregory, December 1, 1934. He died January 14, 1988. Surviving are 2 sons, Kenneth L. (Lori) Gregory and Ardith B. (Grace) Gregory both of Elkhart, 3 daughters, Darlene Johnson of Elkhart, Devonna (Leland) Sanders of N. Manchester, IN and Patricia Gregory of Elkhart; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Naomi Davis of Griffin, GA. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Norman, John, Everett, Edward and Charles Gould and 3 sisters, Helen Hedrick, Lillian Potts and Givonna Gould.

Mrs. Gregory was a retired nurses aid for various nursing homes and provided in home care for the elderly. She was also a homemaker and a member of Central Christian Church, Elkhart and volunteered for various programs at the Church.

Graveside services will be at 11 am Wednesday at Prairie Street Cemetery and a celebration of life memorial service will follow at 12 pm Wednesday at Central Christian Church, Elkhart. Dr. Mike Wills will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Church or Care at Home Hospice Services, Goshen. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, Elkhart is assisting the family with arrangements.
