Jennie E. Henriksen

Jennie E. Henriksen, 100 of Elkhart, passed away January 3, 2014 at Eastlake Terrace. She was born October 31, 1913 in Middlebury to Harry and Macy (Bolinger) Eby. She married Robert H. Henriksen on April 19, 1936 in Middlebury. He died December 31, 2008 after 75 years of marriage.

Surviving are a son, Robert H. (Sheila) Henriksen Jr. of Seminole, FL and 2 daughters, Donna L. Wallace of California and Tammy S. (Steve) Robison of Elkhart; 6 granddaughters and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 4 sisters.

Jennie was a beautician prior to her marriage and was homemaker for most of her married life. She retired as a realtor for Best Realty Co. after 6 years. She was a charter member of Winding Waters Brethren Church and enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. She was a master gardener.

Family and friends may call for an hour prior to the 1 pm service on Friday, Jan. 10th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral & Cremation Center, Elkhart. Pastor Jeff Lewis with 3 Cross Ministries will officiate. Burial will follow at Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury.
