Jerry E. Neely, 72, of Elkhart, died 9:35 am Friday November 12, in Elkhart General Hospital’s Emergency Department.
He was born February 3, 1938 in Mishawaka, IN to Donald and June (Ray) Neely. On October 13, 1957 in Elkhart Jerry married Sharon L. Artley who survives along with two sons, Steven Neely of Elkhart and Timothy (Chris) Neely of Paradise, CA, one daughter, Kathryn (Kevin) Moore of Mansfield, TX, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one sister Sue Thompson of Elkhart, and two brothers, Roger (Sally) Neely of Edwardsburg, MI and Stan (Linda) Neely of Bristol.
Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 Monday and one hour prior to the funeral service which will take place at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing with Pastor Catherine Koziatek of Bethel United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, IN. The Mishawaka Lodge 130 F & AM will conduct a Masonic memorial service at 7 P.M. Monday night during visitation.
Mr. Neely was the owner of Jerry Neely Construction Co. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church where he served as an usher. He was a member of the Mishawaka Lodge 130 F & AM, Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend and the Mizpah Shrine of Ft. Wayne. He loved to fish, study the Bible, mushroom hunt and donate his time and talent to others.
