Joanne A. (Reed) Ball

Joanne Adelle Ball, 90, of Elkhart passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. Joanne was born on September 6, 1932 in Cromwell, IN to William Arthur and Pauline Rosella Reed. She married the love of her life Tom Edgar Ball on July 8, 1951 at Evangelical United Brethren Church in Elkhart, IN. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2019.

Joanne loved being a mom to her children and a grandma to her grandchildren. She would throw the best birthday parties ever, and she even did the same for her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing and gardening.  A great day was time spent near the water, at the beach, swimming or simply a day at the spa. But most of all she loved to spend time with her family and friends.

Joanne is survived by her children, Randall Jerry Ball of Elkhart, Jolene Ann (Richard) Cawley of Elkhart, Kathy (Thomas) Cardwell of Elkhart and her twins Michael Reed ( Robert Harris) Ball  of Washington DC, and Timothy Everett (Kevin Notter) Ball of Washington, DC; grandchildren Jessica (Chris) Kauffman, Matthew Tolen, Joshua Ball, Jason Ball, Sarah (Jason) Stone, Menessah (Justin) Mullett, Ryan Nelson, Rachelle (Aaron) Wood, Curtis Tolen, Heather (Ben) Rutkowski, Renee Ball, Rebecca Rutkowski, Travis Tolen, Jenny (Brian) Bauer, Jamey Ball and Jordan Ball; 26 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren

Visitation will be from 11am – 1pm on Friday May 26, 2023 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where funeral services will be at 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart, IN.
