Jodi R. Koeppel

Jodi R. Koeppel, 37 of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday morning at Elkhart General Hospital.

She was born Jan. 1, 1980 in Elkhart to Brent and Elaine (Shaffer) Taylor. She married Frederick B. Koeppel on Sept. 26, 2014 in Elkhart. He survives along with 4 daughters, Madison A. and Makenna A. Lilly, and Olivia A. and Abigail E. Koeppel all of Elkhart; a sister, Kimberly (Michael) Konecny of Middlebury; parents, Brent and Elaine Taylor of Elkhart and her grandmother, Nancy Shaffer of Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Helen Taylor.

Jodi graduated from Jimtown High School in 1998 and the Bethel College School of Nursing in 2011. Jodi was a Registered Nurse in the emergency department at Elkhart General Hospital for 17 years. She loved helping others and enjoyed gardening and her dog Stella.

The family will receive friends from noon to 5 pm Sunday, Aug. 20th and from 10 am to 1 pm Monday, Aug. 21st at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, where a service in her honor will begin at 1 pm Monday. Chaplain David Stokely will officiate. Entombment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
