Jody A. Vredingburgh, 59 of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2017 in her home.

She was born May 19, 1957 in Elkhart to Raymond and JoAnn (Parcell) Vredingburg. Jody is survived by her Beloved cat, Sweet Pea, a sister, Jenny (Buzz) Holdgrafer of Bristol and her nieces, Kristina Patterson, Erin (Jeremy Adams) Coddens, Leslie (Erik) Pence, Patricia Holdgrafer and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Mitchell.

Jody graduated from Elkhart Central High School in 1975 and was the cook at Bent Oak Golf Club. She previously owned Sweet Magnolias Diner.

Jody loved cooking, sewing for her family, spoiling her “Sweet Pea” and gardening. One of her wishes was to have her ashes spread over the Colorado mountains.

A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, April 3rd from 3-6 pm at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
