John D. Ganger

John D. Ganger, 81 of Elkhart, formerly of Bristol, graduated to heaven on Good Friday, April 14th.

He was born October 7, 1935 to Henry and Florence Ganger. John and his wife Gloria, were married on April 14, 61 years ago. They have four sons, Jay (Janice Tabb) of South Bend, Dan (Betty) of Bristol, Rich (Angie) of Goshen, and Rob (Andrea) of Goshen; 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother Paul (Lydia Mae) of Goshen. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Marietta (Cal) Miller and half-sister, Harriet (Ed) Yoder. John and Gloria also have had the honor of having Dan McKinney of Elkhart be a part of their family for the last 40 years.

John was a graduate of Shipshewana High School, and a charter member of Tri-Lakes Community Church.

John loved relating to people whether he knew them or not, and his quick sense of humor was appreciated by many. John enjoyed working hard. For most of his adult life he was involved in electrical, millwright and ag-irrigation.

Visitation for John will be on Tuesday, April 18th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Tri-Lakes Community Church. A Celebration of his life will be at 11 am Wednesday also at the church where friends may visit with the family an hour prior.

Burial will be at Trout Creek Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given to T.L.C.C. or Time to Revive. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home is entrusted with his care.
